The World's Largest LED and LED Lighting Event Achieved Outstanding Results
LED CHINA 2013 organized by UBM Trust successfully concluded on 4 March 2013 at the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou, P.R. China. 1,012 domestic and overseas exhibitors showcased the latest technology and products covering the entire LED industry chain, making this the world’s largest combined gathering for LED and LED Lighting.
The 4-day trade fair, celebrating its 9th year, achieved impressive numbers:
* 80,000 sqm in exhibition space (+14.3% over 2012 year )
* 1,012 exhibitors (an increase of 12.4% compared to 2012) from 10 countries and regions
* 77,182 visitors (a growth of 22.7% over 2012), including 67,922 domestic visitors (+24.4% over 2012) and 9,260 overseas ones (+11.7% over 2012)
Overseas visitors came from over 150 countries and regions, with the top 30 origins being: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, the Taiwan region, Turkey, UK, Ukraine, USA and Vietnam.

Concurrent to the fair, the high-profile inaugural conference “Advanced LED and Solid-State Lighting Technologies – from Wafer Level Processes to System Applications” delivered by the HKUST LED-FPD Technology R&D Center in Foshan, featuring renowned professors from various universities and LED technical experts, was attended by over 200 delegates. A series of concurrent seminars and sessions including “Latest Requirements for Testing and Certification for LED Lighting Products” delivered by Mr. Dietmar Glaser, Head of LITE department of VDE Institute, and the “LED Lighting and LED Display Technology Seminar” delivered by Mr. Zhaohua Li rounded up the educational opportunities for visitors, whilst new product release by leading exhibitors like Absen Optoelectronic and HongLiTronic, and the LightInTheBox buyer-supplier match-making meetings added to the exciting line-up of onsite activities.
LED CHINA 2014 will take place from 23 to 26 February 2014 at the same venue – China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Area B – in Guangzhou, P.R. China. In LED CHINA 2014, we expected to achieve the following goals: 80,000 sqm in exhibition space, 1,200 exhibitors and brands, 80,000 domestic & overseas visitors.
